Limestone is very common in architecture which can be seen in many structures across the world. It is hard, durable and commonly occurs in easily accessible surface exposures. It is used in paper, plastics, paint, tiles, and other materials as both a white pigment and cheap filler.
While the deposit is approximated to be around 5 million tonnes, the production is about 5 lakh tons per annum with a calcium content of 35% to 45%.
